Siavash Nazri’s Dance & Fire
album has been forbidden in the media in Iran. In an
interview made by the Etemad
Melli with Siavash Nazeri, he
announced his idea about this ban;
In spite of honest cooperation of “poem and music” office of
Culture (Farhang) and Ershad
Islami ministry
in orderto deliver licenses to compile and
publish Dance & Fire
album, “poem and music” jury of Radio and Television
organization (Seda and Sima) has forbidden this CD from
being broadcast in the media!
This album was honored to Jalal-din-Mohammad-Balkhi
(Rumi) on the occasion of the international and universal
Rumi year of 2007. Siavash Nazeri has dedicated Dance & Fire
album to Master Shahram Nazeri (his uncle), the famous
Iranian singer, the ‘chevalier’ of Iran.
In Dance &
Fire album, Siavash Nazeri has
inspired from Rumi’s three poems and Hafez’s two poems and
he has introduced a new style and form of music and singing.

What can it be music, if not the reflection and the mirror
of the passion of creation twisted in existence?!
What can they be words, if not the
reflection of thoughts on the summit of existence?!
The time when man expressed his heart by words for the first
time and started talking, music, melody and word inter
twisted and became one.
The melody of words mirrors their meanings if their eternal
relation is not ignored.
On the memory and celebration of ‘Song’ honored to Rumi, I
have attempted to blow a fresh and new soul in music and its
meaning. Music is at the service of words and poems to pass
the tangible frontiers and cause a unforgettabl event, being
transformed to a shout, a cry or drops of tears.
This new and young story of Persian
music is a remerciment to
masterShahram Nazeri
whose efforts and art of music, we have savored sweetly.
